Prime Minister Modi Highlights Kurukshetra's Achievements in Malaria Control

Chandigarh, Dec 29 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Haryana, Nayab Singh Saini, stated on Sunday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the success story of Kurukshetra's initiatives in combating malaria during his renowned ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme.

The Prime Minister praised Kurukshetra for establishing a model aimed at tackling malaria effectively. The Health Department of the state implemented special campaigns designed to limit mosquito breeding and raised awareness through radio broadcasts and various other platforms, which led to a significant decline in malaria cases.

The Prime Minister acknowledged the hard work of the state and noted that the World Health Organization (WHO) has also recognized India's proactive measures in malaria prevention.

Chief Minister Saini listened to the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme alongside party workers in Panchkula.

Furthermore, the Chief Minister mentioned that the Prime Minister discussed the forthcoming Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, commencing on January 14, emphasizing its cultural and traditional significance.

“The uniqueness of the Maha Kumbh lies not just in its scale. It is also marked by its diversity. Millions gather for this occasion. Numerous saints, diverse traditions, various sects, and many Akharas come together in this event. There is no discrimination; everyone is treated equally. This remarkable display of unity in diversity is unparalleled worldwide. Thus, our Kumbh is truly the Maha Kumbh of unity,” the Prime Minister remarked.

Praising ‘Mann Ki Baat’ as an exceptionally educational and motivational programme, the Chief Minister noted that it “offers valuable perspectives across many areas, including sports, agriculture, health, and employment. Farmers have appreciated collaborative efforts through Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs).”

Later, the Chief Minister attended a ‘satsang’ at the Sant Nirankari Bhawan in Panchkula. He commended the Sant Nirankari Mission for its engagement in a variety of social initiatives. The CM mentioned his recent participation in the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign at the Sant Nirankari Adhyatmik Sthal in Samalkha, where about 30,000 saplings were planted.

The Chief Minister also stated that under the guidance of Satguru Mata Sudiksha-ji Maharaj, the mission actively participates in blood donation camps and cleanliness drives, significantly benefiting the community.
