Prime Minister Modi Unveils Rs 185 Crore Central Ayurveda Research Institute in Delhi to Foster ‘Heal in India’ Initiative

New Delhi, Jan 5 (NationPress) In a pivotal initiative to enhance traditional medicine, Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually marked the commencement of the Central Ayurveda Research Institute in Rohini, Delhi, with a budget of Rs 185 crore, dubbing it the ‘next major leap for Ayurveda’.

The expansive 2.92-acre complex aims to merge tradition with innovation, opening up avenues for holistic healing, specialized clinics, and skill enhancement, as stated by the Ministry of Ayush.

This new establishment will house a 100-bed research hospital focused on advancing Ayurveda research and delivering healthcare services to the local community.

“India possesses tremendous potential to emerge as the global hub for health and wellness. The time is near when, alongside ‘Make in India’, the world will embrace ‘Heal in India’ as its guiding principle,” remarked PM Modi.

To assist international citizens in accessing Ayush treatments in India, a distinctive Ayush visa facility has been launched, which has already benefitted hundreds of foreign nationals in a short time.

PM Modi emphasized that the government is advocating traditional Indian medicine systems such as AYUSH and Ayurveda, noting that in the last decade, the Ayush system has extended its reach to over 100 countries. Additionally, the first World Health Organisation (WHO) institution focused on traditional medicine is being established in India.

Recently, the Prime Minister also inaugurated the second phase of the All India Institute of Ayurveda.

At the event, Prataprao Jadhav, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for the Ministry of Ayush, expressed his appreciation for the Prime Minister’s leadership, stating that this facility will advance research and quality healthcare, positively influencing millions of lives nationwide.

Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary of the Ministry of Ayush, remarked that securing a dedicated site in Rohini after 46 years is a significant milestone, setting a standard for future initiatives.

“This visionary structure is set to deliver top-notch services to society, thereby improving awareness and access to traditional medicine,” he emphasized.
