Punjab CM Orders Comprehensive Preparations for Shaheedi Sabha

Chandigarh, Dec 9 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Punjab, Bhagwant Mann, convened a meeting on Monday, urging officials to implement comprehensive measures for the upcoming 'Shaheedi Sabha', which honors the martyrdom of Guru Gobind Singh's minor sons, scheduled to occur in Fatehgarh Sahib from December 25 to 27.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister emphasized that funds have already been allocated for road repairs, and this work must be completed promptly.
Mann directed officials to establish helplines along all routes leading to the gurdwara to ensure a smooth experience for the pilgrims. He also insisted that every corner of Sri Fatehgarh Sahib be equipped with CCTV cameras to prevent any potential disturbances.
The Chief Minister highlighted the need for detailed arrangements to accommodate the thousands of pilgrims who visit annually for the Shaheedi Sabha, stressing the importance of maintaining cleanliness in the area.
He noted that this sacred site serves as a source of inspiration not just for Sikhs but for all of humanity, as people gather yearly to honor Chotta Sahibzadas and Mata Gujri on their martyrdom anniversary.
Mann assured that the government would make every effort to ensure that pilgrims experience no inconvenience during the Shaheedi Sabha. He committed to personally overseeing the preparations to guarantee timely completion.
The Chief Minister remarked that the martyrdom of Sahibzada Zorawar Singh and Sahibzada Fateh Singh, along with Mata Gujri-ji, in this hallowed land, has historically inspired Punjabis to combat injustice and oppression. He noted that the supreme sacrifice made by the young Sahibzadas at such a tender age is unparalleled in world history.
Mann also stated that due to the annual influx of lakhs of pilgrims during the Shaheedi Sabha, the state government is undertaking a complete revitalization of the town. He affirmed the government's commitment to facilitating the visit of pilgrims to this sacred location and emphasized the need for an effective system to ensure that no visitor encounters any issues during their stay.
