Punjab Police Chief Honors at Gurdwara Sri Fatehgarh Sahib, Assesses Security Measures

Chandigarh, Dec 26 (NationPress) With the commencement of the annual Shaheedi Sabha to honor the martyrdom of Chhote Sahibzaade in the town of Fatehgarh Sahib, Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav visited Gurdwara Sri Fatehgarh Sahib on Thursday to pay his respects and assess security measures for the smooth movement of devotees.
The entire town has been transformed into a one-way traffic system.
This three-day event to honor Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh, the youngest sons of the tenth Sikh master, Guru Gobind Singh, began on Wednesday.
DGP Yadav, accompanied by senior officials, conducted a thorough review of the security and traffic plans established for the safe and peaceful execution of the Shaheedi Sabha.
He mentioned that more than 4,000 police personnel are on duty around the clock, with the area divided into five sectors, each overseen by a gazetted officer, to guarantee that the public can pay their respects without any issues.
A designated VIP route, which also serves as an emergency access point, has been established.
"Our primary responsibility is to ensure the smooth movement of devotees, and the Punjab Police will assist and guide all attendees like a friend," he stated, emphasizing that all police personnel have been instructed to maintain a highly respectful demeanor towards the sangat.
The DGP also noted that a significant number of CCTV cameras have been installed along all routes, with monitoring conducted through a control room to ensure the safety and security of the public. In total, 20 parking areas have been designated, and the shuttle bus service between the parking zones and Gurdwara Sri Fatehgarh Sahib has been expanded to 100 buses for the convenience of the devotees.
