The individuals taken into custody are identified as Gurdeep Singh, hailing from Badhni Kalan in Moga, and Gursewak Singh, also known as Mota, a resident of Manu Ke Sandhu in Jagraon, Ludhiana.
The seized firearms consist of four .32 bore country-made pistols and one .30 bore country-made pistol, accompanied by ten magazines.
DGP Yadav noted that initial investigations suggest that the arrested duo had ties to the gang and were actively participating in its criminal operations.
Ongoing investigations aim to uncover further connections related to this case, with expectations of additional arrests and seizures in the near future.
Detailing the operation, Senior Superintendent of Police (Muktsar Sahib) Akhil Chaudhary stated that a special checkpoint was established based on specific intelligence by the CIA Malout.

The SSP further elaborated that Gurdeep Singh had established contact with Harjot Singh, known as Neela, and Jagdeep Singh, called Jagga, both of whom are close accomplices of Lawrence Bishnoi.
"Following Neela's directives, Gursewak and Gurdeep traveled to Indore, where an unidentified individual provided them with five pistols," he stated, adding that two of these pistols were kept by the suspects, while three were intended for delivery to Neela.
Additionally, Harjot Singh and Jagdeep Singh are wanted suspects with 12 and 10 registered first information reports (FIRs) against them across various districts and states.
An FIR has been lodged under Section 25 of the Arms Act at Police Station Kabarwala in Muktsar Sahib.
