Purvanchalis are set to deliver a lesson to Kejriwal's AAP in the upcoming February 5 Assembly elections, asserts Delhi BJP

New Delhi, Jan 12 (NationPress) The Delhi BJP announced on Sunday that the Purvanchalis will impart a lesson to AAP and its leader Arvind Kejriwal, who referred to them as "fake" voters.
The Delhi BJP shared a poster on the social media platform X, branding Arvind Kejriwal as the 'Jaani Dushman' (bitter enemy) of the Purvanchali community.
Criticizing the former chief minister, the Delhi BJP stated that while Kejriwal considers the individuals from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh as fake, he regards Rohingyas and infiltrators as his relatives.
The post further emphasized that the Purvanchal populace, whom Kejriwal labeled as fake, will teach AAP a lesson during the February 5 Assembly elections.
The poster highlighted that Kejriwal had expelled Purvanchalis from Delhi through loudspeaker announcements, referencing the COVID-19 pandemic period when individuals from other states were sent back.
Moreover, the poster criticized the AAP leader for failing to clean the Yamuna river, preventing women from observing Chhath fasts in the water.
Traditionally, Kejriwal has pledged to clean the Yamuna River during elections.
Recently, after calling Purvanchalis fake voters, Kejriwal attempted damage control by blaming the BJP for lacking development initiatives for this community.
Nevertheless, the BJP argues that Kejriwal's remarks reveal his true mindset.
Out of Delhi's 1.55 crore voters, 42 percent are Purvanchalis or migrants from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, and their votes significantly influence outcomes in nearly half of Delhi's 70 Assembly constituencies.
Key constituencies with a substantial number of Purvanchali voters include Burari, Laxmi Nagar, and Dwarka. The Assembly elections in Delhi are set for February 5, with results expected on February 8.
In the current Assembly, AAP holds 62 seats while BJP has eight.
