Modi's Vision for Delhi: BJP Intensifies Offensive Against AAP Pre-Elections

New Delhi, Jan 9 (NationPress) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has embarked on a vigorous campaign aimed at the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) as the race for Delhi escalates in anticipation of the elections on February 5.
On Thursday, the Delhi BJP presented a collection of posters and social media messages criticizing the AAP government’s performance while positioning itself as the sole answer to the capital’s challenges.
One poster proclaimed: "Now, Delhi’s air will also be clean, and every household will have access to safe drinking water because BJP is coming to power in Delhi."
The BJP accused the AAP administration of poor management and negligence in various critical sectors. The party referred to the AAP government as "Aap-da for Delhi" and asserted, “In the rain, Delhi transforms into a city of lakes; Mohalla Clinics have become clinics of deaths; AAP promised schools but opened bars instead; less medicine, more alcohol; The capital is thirsty for clean drinking water, while pothole-riddled roads jeopardize lives;” Garbage heaps have emerged in the streets since the AAP-controlled MCD took charge.
The BJP confidently stated that it will address these problems and will substitute "Aap-da" with effective governance.
One poster highlighted the advantages of a "double-engine government," asserting that a BJP-led administration in both Delhi and the Centre would facilitate quicker and more efficient development.
“Delhi’s development will accelerate when there is a double-engine government. Dilli ke dil mein Modi," it stated in one of the posts.
The Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP secured Assembly elections in 2015 and 2020 by significant margins. In the last two elections, the BJP was left with single-digit seats in the Delhi Assembly, and the Congress was completely eliminated.
The Assembly elections in Delhi are scheduled for February 5, with votes being counted on February 8.
The Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is making a strong push for a third consecutive term, while the BJP is utilizing all its resources to change the dynamics. The Congress is also in the mix, contesting independently. The grand old party aims to reestablish its presence in the national capital, where it failed to secure a single seat in the Assembly. It is targeting both the BJP and the AAP, having previously allied with the AAP during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
