New Delhi, Jan 29 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday launched a sharp critique of the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Congress party, holding them responsible for ruining two generations in the capital over the last 25 years.
During a poll rally in North-East Delhi, PM Modi called on the citizens to support a BJP-led double-engine government in the upcoming Assembly elections set for February 5.
In his criticism of both Congress and AAP, PM Modi stated, "You have witnessed the first 14 years of the twenty-first century under Congress, and then you entrusted the AAPda government for 11 years, yet the issues in Delhi persist. Over 25 years, these two parties have devastated two generations."
He implored voters to grant the BJP a chance. "You have not allowed me to serve you for the past 25 years. You have experienced Congress and AAPda for 25 years; now, give the lotus a chance. Just like a family head cares for his loved ones, I will look after you. The BJP's history demonstrates that we deliver on our commitments," he emphasized.
PM Modi assured prompt action on the BJP's election pledges, stating, "After February 8, the BJP government in Delhi will execute all its promises in a timely manner. This is 'Modi ki Guarantee'. Today, 'Modi ki Guarantee' signifies the assurance of fulfilling all commitments."
He pledged to provide relief to Delhi's residents by tackling crucial issues.
"Delhi demands a government that constructs homes for the underprivileged, modernizes the city, guarantees water supply to every household, and liberates them from tanker mafias. This is why all of Delhi is proclaiming, 'AAPda jaayegi, BJP aayegi' (AAPda will go, BJP will come)," he remarked.
Emphasizing the vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’, PM Modi stated, "Every citizen is striving to make India a developed nation. For this, it is essential that the capital city serves as a model of development. However, considering the current state of Delhi, do you believe it can attain that? I don’t even need to articulate it; the residents of Delhi express their distress daily."
At the extensive rally in Ghonda constituency, PM Modi also expressed sorrow over the Maha Kumbh stampede.
"We lost some precious lives in today’s event, and several others were severely injured. I extend my condolences to the affected families and wish for the swift recovery of the injured," he remarked.
The Prime Minister reassured that he remains in close contact with the Uttar Pradesh government and that the 'Amrit Snan' at the Maha Kumbh has resumed as usual.
In a touching moment at the rally, BJP candidate from Patparganj Assembly, Ravinder Singh Negi, touched PM Modi's feet, and the Prime Minister reciprocated, earning the crowd's admiration.
Appreciating the large gathering, PM Modi stated, "This scene reflects the sentiment of Delhi and the message of its mandate. Delhi is transforming. False promises will no longer suffice. The deceit and plundering will cease. The people of Delhi desire a double-engine BJP government that guarantees both the welfare of the poor and the city’s development."
