Patna, Nov 9 (NationPress) The Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, fiercely criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Election Commission of India during a rally in Bihar's Kishanganj, accusing them of 'vote theft'.
Speaking to a massive crowd, the Congress leader asserted that votes had been pilfered in Maharashtra, Haryana, and Madhya Pradesh, and warned of similar attempts in Bihar.
“Why are these (BJP and EC) individuals silent regarding my claims? Our allegations hold truth, which is why they remain quiet. They are indeed vote thieves,” he expressed.
Gandhi reiterated his accusation that BJP officials were casting votes across two states and charged PM Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah with electoral fraud.
The LoP contended that neither the Prime Minister nor the Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar had refuted his claims.
“Narendra Modi has never once denied my statements. The allegations we present are entirely valid—hence their silence,” he continued.
“A thief steals, fears being caught, and ultimately faces consequences. Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, and CEC Gyanesh Kumar have engaged in 'vote theft' in India and fear the people's wrath. They will be apprehended one day,” he added.
Further intensifying his criticisms, Rahul Gandhi accused PM Modi of inciting hatred.
“Narendra Modi is imbued with hatred in his essence. He aims to divide people, while my essence is filled with love—that is our distinction,” he stated.
The Congress leader also highlighted the unemployment crisis facing Bihar's youth, forcing them to seek work in other states.
“Wherever I travel in India, I encounter individuals from Bihar. You have constructed places like Dubai with your labor. If you can create Dubai and Bengaluru, why can't Bihar witness similar progress?” he questioned.
Touching upon the state's rich cultural heritage, Rahul Gandhi remarked on the global fame of Nalanda University, which attracted students from Korea, the UK, and Japan.
“Now, Bihar is tainted with paper leaks. Every examination here is marred by unfair practices,” he alleged.
The initial phase of polling in Bihar, encompassing 121 constituencies, was conducted smoothly on November 6.
The subsequent phase is slated for November 11, covering 122 Assembly seats across 20 districts.
The districts participating in this phase include West Champaran, East Champaran, Kishanganj, Araria, Katihar, Purnea, Supaul, Madhubani, Shivhar, Sitamarhi, Jamui, Banka, Bhagalpur, Nawada, Jehanabad, Arwal, Rohtas, Aurangabad, Gaya, and Kaimur.
Vote counting will occur on November 14, revealing the outcome of who will lead the next government in Bihar.
From the stage in Kishanganj, Rahul Gandhi urged support for Congress candidate Masawwar Alam (Bahadurganj), RJD candidate Saud Alam (Thakurganj), Congress candidate Kamrul Hoda (Kishanganj), and RJD candidate Mujahid Alam (Kochadhaman).
He called upon the public to secure victories for all Grand Alliance candidates, asserting that the sentiment among the Bihar electorate is decisively leaning towards change this time.
