Jaipur, April 18 (NationPress) Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma emphasized that self-respect and patriotism are integral to the identity of every individual from Rajasthan.
He remarked that Rajasthanis, wherever they may be in the country or the world, create a unique identity through their commitment to social initiatives and diligent work. They uphold a strong bond with both their Karmabhoomi (workplace) and Janmabhoomi (birthplace), continuously augmenting Rajasthan's honor with their accomplishments.
The Chief Minister made these remarks during the ‘Rajasthan Pravasi Sammelan’ in Kolkata on Saturday, marking the second day of his visit to West Bengal.
He noted that the State Government is actively fostering connections with the Rajasthani community abroad through the Rajasthan Foundation, which currently includes 40 chapters nationwide and overseas.
Earlier, Sharma visited the Kalighat Temple, performing a traditional puja and seeking the blessings of Goddess Kali for the happiness, prosperity, and well-being of Rajasthan's populace.
He also made a stop at the Govindam International Society for Krishna Consciousness Temple in Ballygunge, Kolkata, where he offered prayers to Lord Radha Krishna and engaged warmly with the devotees.
The Chief Minister asserted that a political shift in West Bengal is inevitable and urged the populace to rally behind the Bharatiya Janata Party. He stated that if West Bengal aims for development akin to Rajasthan, it must strive to secure substantial support for the BJP.
He stressed that under a “Double-Engine Government,” the state can undergo swift and transformative growth.
Sharma highlighted Rajasthan’s robust potential in various sectors, including industry, energy, tourism, and social welfare.
He pointed out that Rajasthan’s rich mineral resources and famed tourist attractions have garnered international acclaim. Its lakes, forts, havelis, deserts, and religious sites draw visitors from all over India and beyond.
Referencing PM Modi's vision, he affirmed that the State Government is dedicated to the principle of “Heritage with Development.” As part of this initiative, 662 historical havelis in the Shekhawati region have been earmarked for conservation and restoration.
Sharma further stated that extensive development efforts are underway across various sectors, including agriculture, electricity, and water supply. Initiatives are being implemented to ensure dependable and continuous services across all districts, with farmers in 24 districts receiving daytime electricity.
He also noted that the “Rising Rajasthan Investment Summit” has generated significant employment opportunities for the youth.
