Jaipur, July 29 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Bhajan Lal Sharma, met with the Union Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman, at the Parliament House on Tuesday. In their discussion, he informed her about the state's financial management, advancements in various development initiatives, and the execution of public welfare programs.
The meeting was marked by a positive and constructive dialogue regarding the state's financial necessities, as well as exploring potential avenues for central cooperation. Senior officials from the Rajasthan government were present at the meeting, according to sources from the Chief Minister's Office.
Earlier that same day, CM Sharma engaged in discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the developmental agenda for the state and upcoming projects. He shared insights from this meeting on the social media platform X.
"I had the honor of meeting Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji and engaged in a significant discussion about Rajasthan's progress. On behalf of our state's citizens, I expressed heartfelt thanks for his visionary leadership and steadfast support," Sharma wrote.
“In the past 11 years, under the Prime Minister's esteemed leadership, India has achieved remarkable progress and established itself as a prominent global player. Under his guidance, Rajasthan has made notable advancements over the last year and a half, successfully addressing developmental challenges," he added.
The Chief Minister emphasized that the double-engine government is persistently striving to transform Rajasthan into a model state—where every farmer, youth, woman, and underprivileged citizen is empowered, receives justice, and enjoys a life of dignity and opportunity.
Sharma further mentioned that the Prime Minister has pledged continued support for Rajasthan's development moving forward. "We are deeply appreciative of his commitment on behalf of every citizen of the state," he stated.
On the preceding day, CM Sharma held discussions with several Union Ministers in Delhi to review ongoing central schemes and garner support for forthcoming projects in Rajasthan. He met with Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the Union Minister for Agriculture and Rural Development; Manohar Lal, the Union Minister for Energy, Housing, and Urban Affairs; and C.R. Paatil, the Union Jal Shakti Minister, at the Krishi Bhawan in New Delhi.
