What Did Rajasthan CM Discuss with HM Amit Shah?

Jaipur, May 29 (NationPress) Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma had a significant meeting with Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi on Thursday. He took the opportunity to congratulate Shah on the triumphant success of Operation Sindoor, a landmark achievement in combating terrorism.

Sharma also informed the Union Minister about the advancements and innovations in Rajasthan’s cooperative sector. The key initiatives discussed included the computerisation of PACS, Mhaaro Khata Mhaaro Bank, the Gopal Credit Card Scheme, and the Sahakar Se Samriddhi Abhiyan.

He extended a warm invitation to Shah for the forthcoming Sahakar Sammelan in Rajasthan, which is being organized to honor the International Year of Cooperatives.

The Chief Minister expressed his appreciation for the successful execution of 54 initiatives under the Sahakar Se Samriddhi campaign.

Later, Sharma convened with Union Housing, Urban Affairs, and Energy Minister Manohar Lal. Their discussions centered around infrastructure development, including urban drainage systems, drinking water availability, metro rail expansion, enhanced public transport, and energy generation and supply.

Sharma emphasized the importance of expanding urban transport across various districts. He requested prompt approval and financial support under the joint venture model for the Jaipur Metro Project Phase-II and the quick release of central assistance.

In the energy domain, Sharma sought authorization for a Detailed Project Report (DPR) worth Rs 1,368 crore under the RDSS project to ensure daytime power supply to agricultural consumers via Jodhpur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited.

Additionally, he urged the Minister to instruct relevant agencies - CTUIL, CEA, MNRE, and others - to prioritize actions on implementing 115 GW renewable energy projects and developing a transmission system for evacuating an additional 50 GW of renewable energy from Rajasthan.

Chief Minister Sharma also engaged with Union Minister for Railways, Information & Broadcasting, and Electronics & IT, Ashwini Vaishnaw. They deliberated on expanding the railway network to enhance public convenience and spur industrial growth.

Strengthening digital infrastructure and encouraging innovation in the media and broadcasting sectors were also vital topics of discussion.

In a separate engagement with Union Coal and Mines Minister G. Kishan Reddy, Sharma tackled issues regarding sustainable mineral resource development, infrastructure enhancement in the mining industry, investment opportunities, and ensuring a steady coal supply for Rajasthan’s power plants.
