Jaipur, Feb 11 (NationPress) Just hours after the Barmer Police in Rajasthan confiscated assets valued at Rs 2 crore from a well-known history-sheeter, he tragically lost his life in a road accident in Uttar Pradesh, leaving two of his companions injured.

The incident occurred merely 19 hours after the Rajasthan police took action against him near Bilhaur on the Kanpur Express Highway in Uttar Pradesh. The deceased, known as Virdharam, was en route to a religious gathering in Gaya, Bihar, accompanied by his friends.

On the previous day, Monday, authorities had taken possession of Virdharam’s opulent residence located in Galaberi village.

Moreover, the police requested the relevant RTO to blacklist his vehicle along with three sleeper buses. As per Galaberi Sarpanch Achalaram, Virdharam and his associates, Virendra Godara and Chunaram, departed from Barmer for Gaya on Monday. The next morning, their vehicle collided with another car on the Kanpur Express Highway, resulting in Virdharam’s demise. His two companions are presently undergoing treatment at a medical facility.

ASP Jasaram Bose confirmed that Virdharam had a history of criminal activities documented at Barmer Sadar police station. His fortune was reportedly amassed through unlawful means. Investigations disclosed that Birdha Ram had constructed an extravagant house in his home village and established VR Seoul Construction Company in his wife’s name as a means to launder illicit wealth. He had also utilized his illegal earnings to acquire luxury vehicles.

Based on this evidence, the police compiled comprehensive property documentation and submitted a request to the appropriate authority under the NDPS Act in New Delhi. After reviewing the evidence, the competent authority verified that property worth approximately Rs 2 crore had been fraudulently obtained and issued directives to freeze the assets.

Following the directive, a police team led by Additional Superintendent of Police Jasaram Bose, CO Ramesh Sharma, and SHO Satya Prakash executed the operation.

The team confiscated the smuggler’s lavish residential property in Galaberi village, issued an official notice, and seized the Hyundai Creta car along with three sleeper buses belonging to the accused’s construction firm.

Birdha Ram had been engaged in criminal activities since 2012. He has a record of 10 criminal cases registered against him across various police stations, including Kotwali, Gida, Sadar, Sindhari, Mangalwad, and Nimbahera Sadar.
