Rajasthan Government Allocates Land for IT Park and Lohagal Water Reservoir

Jaipur, December 3 (NationPress) - The Rajasthan government has officially sanctioned the allocation of land for an IT Park in Makarwali village, designed to bolster investments as part of the Rising Rajasthan Summit.
The IT Park, covering an area of 12.95 hectares, is set to create substantial employment opportunities in the region.
Furthermore, the government has also granted land for a service reservoir in Lohagal village to tackle the drinking water crisis in Ajmer North.
A service reservoir with a capacity of 30 MLD will be constructed as part of this initiative.
The establishment of the IT Park and the service reservoir is a result of budgetary commitments made by the state government, influenced by the initiatives of Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani.
On his recommendation, RIICO commenced the land acquisition for the IT Park, while the Water Supply Department pursued land for the service reservoir.
The Ajmer Development Authority has designated 12.95 hectares in Makarwali for the IT Park and 10,000 square meters from Khasra number 1965/898 (previously 832) in Lohagal for the service reservoir. These proposals were forwarded to the Urban Development Department, which subsequently issued allocation orders via Deputy Secretary Rakesh Kumar Gupta.
Officials have emphasized that Ajmer's inaugural IT Park will open doors for investments from leading IT firms during the Rising Rajasthan Summit. Ongoing efforts are focused on attracting data centers, call centers, and corporate offices from prominent companies.
This initiative is expected to benefit not only the IT sector but also associated industries such as hospitality, construction, and transport, creating a multiplier effect of employment across various sectors.
In addition, the state government has allocated ₹270 crore to tackle drinking water issues in Ajmer, as per the budget announcement. The proposed service reservoir in Lohagal will cater to approximately 50,000 residents in the surrounding areas.
A dedicated pipeline from Nasirabad, linked to the Bisalpur mainline, will guarantee reliable water supply. Officials confirmed that this system will maintain stable water pressure and reduce reliance on intermediate connections, thereby significantly improving water access in Ajmer North.
Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani has played a key role in accelerating these projects, ensuring timely execution through cooperation with various departments.
