Jaipur, Feb 16 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Ajmer on February 28, where he will inaugurate and lay the groundwork for development initiatives totaling Rs 23,500 crore in Rajasthan. During this visit, he will also distribute appointment letters to approximately 21,000 youths as part of the ‘Rozgar Utsav’ initiative.

Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma confirmed the Prime Minister’s visit via social media, mentioning that this event will bolster the state’s commitment to development.

“The Prime Minister’s appearance will hasten the development pace in Rajasthan. This occasion, held in Ajmer, will invigorate our vision for a developed state,” Sharma stated.

This marks one of PM Modi’s significant engagements in Rajasthan this year. Previously, he visited Banswara on September 25, 2022, sharing the stage with former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje.

The Ajmer district administration has commenced preparations as directed from Jaipur. Officials anticipate an attendance of around 2 to 3 lakh people at the event. Plans include the construction of two large domes for the public gathering and the main stage, with the Public Works Department (PWD) preparing to issue tenders for the necessary arrangements.

Logistics discussions have covered aspects such as parking, drinking water, sanitation, and electrical line shifts.

Orders for repairs to the existing helipad have also been issued. Sources suggest that PM Modi might visit Pushkar during this trip, and the district administration is on high alert.

CM Sharma expressed pride, stating, “On February 28, the world’s most celebrated leader, our illustrious Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will present an exceptional gift of development projects valued at Rs 23,500 crore from the revered land of Ajmer.

“In addition to laying the foundations and inaugurating various projects, the dreams of 21,000 youths will take flight as appointment letters are distributed during the 'Rozgar Utsav',” he added.

The Prime Minister’s esteemed presence will further solidify our collective commitment towards building a 'Developed Rajasthan,' CM Sharma noted in his social media post, which bore the hashtag #Apnano_Agrani_Rajasthan.

District Collector Lok Bandhu affirmed that the Prime Minister’s meeting is set for February 28, with preparations proceeding as scheduled.

The Ajmer Youth Congress announced plans for a peaceful protest during the Prime Minister’s visit, intending to display black flags and voice concerns regarding youth and public issues in a democratic fashion.

PM Modi has made several prior visits to Ajmer. On October 6, 2018, he addressed a public meeting at Kayad Rest House. On May 31, 2023, he launched a major public relations campaign celebrating nine years of the Central Government, and on April 6, 2024, he spoke at a public meeting in the Pushkar region during the Lok Sabha election campaign.
