Jaipur, Sep 12 (NationPress) Rajasthan's Food and Civil Supplies Minister Sumit Godara vehemently dismissed the accusations of privacy breaches within the Assembly made by the opposition, labeling them as entirely unfounded.
Godara asserted that the double-engine government, led by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, has been effectively pursuing a vision for a “Developed Rajasthan,” while the opposition, unable to match the government’s accomplishments, resorts to deceptive claims.
During the past 21 months, the government under CM Sharma’s stewardship has fortified the framework of development throughout the state.
“Witnessing the government's commendable achievements, the opposition has been left speechless. They had nothing to contribute in the Assembly, which is why the session faced interruptions. Even State Congress President Govind Singh Dotasra has been absent from the House,” he noted.
In response to the allegations made by Leader of Opposition Tika Ram Jully regarding privacy infringements, Godara countered that such issues were prevalent during the previous Congress administration.
“When Jully served as a minister, the then Chief Minister faced accusations of recording phone calls. It’s common knowledge that when the ACS Home refused to comply, he was replaced, and the new officer was later rewarded with the Chief Secretary position,” Godara claimed.
He added that it was the Congress government that first introduced YouTube broadcasting in the Assembly, which the BJP initially welcomed.
“Now, with the installation of cameras in the Assembly, the system is equally transparent and applicable to all. The opposition is unnecessarily stirring up issues for political gain,” he stated.
The Minister emphasized that Chief Minister Sharma’s administration operates with full transparency and has the public's trust.
“The public understands that the opposition intentionally disrupted the Assembly's proceedings and squandered time on groundless issues. In the upcoming session, they should focus on significant matters and collaborate with us in shaping a Developed Rajasthan,” Godara concluded.
