Jaipur, Jan 22 (NationPress) Rajasthan's Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma delivered a pointed response to former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot during the launch of Gram Utthan Camps in Sirohi.
He accused the OMR sheets from the 2019 examinations of being manipulated, stating that this issue has now escalated to the former Chief Minister's doorstep.
In a mocking tone, Chief Minister Sharma highlighted that attention is now directed towards the involvement of Gehlot's Personal Security Officer (PSO).
He urged Congress leaders to reevaluate their vision so they might recognize the ongoing advancements in Rajasthan.
Sharma remarked that during the earlier Congress administration, numerous posters promoting migration were displayed in various regions, compelling residents to abandon their homes.
On this matter, CM Sharma mentioned that the state Cabinet has resolved to enforce the Disturbed Areas Act, which has evidently unsettled the Congress party.
He further accused the Congress of perpetuating false narratives and misleading citizens through the so-called Special Investigation Report.
According to him, paper leaks were prevalent during the previous Congress rule, contrasting with the integrity maintained under the current BJP government.
Sharma indicated that some individuals make statements without comprehending their implications or the subjects they reference.
Reiterating a call for accountability, he stated that this is the era of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, assuring citizens that they need not worry.
He pledged that those culpable for scams that deceived the youth during the Congress tenure will face consequences.
"No one will escape; the former Chief Minister's Personal Security Officer is currently being investigated," asserted CM Sharma.
In response, former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot demanded a thorough investigation into all recent recruitment examinations following the discovery of tampered OMR sheets by employees of the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB).
Gehlot raised significant concerns regarding the examination system's integrity, accusing the BJP-led state government of politicizing this paper leak situation.
In a statement on his official X account, Gehlot expressed, "The revelation of OMR sheet manipulation within the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board has sparked serious doubts about the system."
