Jaipur, June 24 (NationPress) The Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan and Minister for Women and Child Development, Diya Kumari, presided over a significant departmental review meeting at the Secretariat on Tuesday. The primary objective was to expedite the advancement of crucial schemes and budgetary commitments.
In attendance were senior women officials alongside departmental representatives, marking a pivotal move towards comprehensive development, particularly in the realms of women and child welfare.
During the meeting, several critical resolutions were established.
Among these was a 10 percent increase in the wages for Anganwadi workers and enhanced nutritional provisions under the 'Amrit Aahar Yojana', which will now provide milk to children facing severe acute malnutrition five days a week.
A considerable amount of Rs 500 crore has been designated for the refurbishment and renovation of Anganwadi centers, with plans to coordinate efforts with the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan to upgrade 3,688 facilities statewide.
The Deputy CM assessed the execution status of the Nutri-Kit Scheme and commended Rajasthan's top ranking in the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, where the state currently leads nationally.
She instructed officials to maintain consistent outreach via both traditional and social media channels to foster public awareness regarding departmental initiatives, stressing that “the goodwill must reach the people -- not just stay on paper.”
Deputy CM Diya Kumari also emphasized the timely execution of significant programs such as Nutrition Tracker, Sakhi Kendra, prominent anganwadi centers, Udaan Yojana, Nari Shakti Udyam Protsahan Yojana, and the Skill Development Scheme across the state.
Moreover, she urged the prompt implementation of the Chief Minister's Collective Marriage Scheme throughout Rajasthan.
Officials were also tasked with ensuring access to clean drinking water and constructing toilets at all Anganwadi centers where necessary.
