Prayagraj, Jan 23 (NationPress) Jagadguru Rambhadracharya has highlighted the profound significance of Mahakumbh in a special interview with IANS conducted here on Thursday.

Rambhadracharya responded to numerous questions and shared his perspectives on a variety of topics. He remarked that the Mahakumbh bears great importance and that participating in the dip during this event provides numerous advantages.

"This is a pivotal day for Sanatan culture. The entire globe is discussing the Mahakumbh," he stated.

When discussing the trend of creating Instagram reels during the event, Rambhadracharya expressed that such occurrences should not take place at the Mahakumbh. He feels that the current situation in this regard is inappropriate.

In response to a question about notable political figures attending the event, including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and other dignitaries, he commented: "It is commendable that esteemed leaders from the nation are here to take a dip."

When asked about the absence of Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, Rambhadracharya expressed, "It is regrettable that the opposition leader has not yet participated."

Regarding Akhilesh Yadav's absence from Prayagraj, Rambhadracharya inquired, "What is his opposition to the Ganga? Why is he hesitant to visit the Ganga?"

On the topic of Donald Trump becoming the President of the United States, he commented: "It is positive that he assumed the presidency of America."

As of Thursday morning, reports indicated that at least 700,000 individuals had already taken a dip.

On Wednesday alone, over 4.87 million people performed the sacred dip, showcasing the profound faith and devotion of the attendees.

In addition, the ongoing Mahakumbh has surpassed the 10-crore mark for participants bathing at the Triveni Sangam, the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers, as reported by the Uttar Pradesh government on Thursday.

The state government reported that this milestone was reached on Thursday at 12 p.m.

The Uttar Pradesh government is hosting the world’s largest religious gathering, which commenced on January 13 and will continue until February 26.
