Chandrapur (Maharashtra), Feb 3 (NationPress) Maharashtra Ports and Fisheries Minister Nitesh Rane asserted on Monday that the current government, which adheres to Hindutva ideology, will not accept "love jihad, land jihad, and cow slaughter".

Rane made these remarks during the Sakal Hindu Samaj rally, where he indicated plans to introduce stringent legislation to combat forced religious conversions.

He cautioned that "if a certain community continues to engage in love jihad, land jihad, and disrespect towards Gau Mata, the government will track them down and imprison them one by one".

He emphasized, "We are in power, and if these individuals do not cease their activities against Hindu society, even those in Pakistan will fail to recognize them. The tactics of trapping Hindu girls, converting them, and committing heinous acts will no longer be tolerated. We will enact the most stringent laws against conversion in the state, putting an end to the mischief that thrived during the Maha Vikas Aghadi regime. During that time, they were able to raise slogans like 'Pakistan Zindabad', but such antics will not be permitted anymore," Rane stated.

He further declared, "In our Hindu Rashtra, the welfare of Hindus will always be prioritized".

In contrast, former Leader of Opposition in the Assembly and senior Congress member Vijay Wadettiwar criticized Rane for his comments, claiming they were intended to sow discord between communities.

"Those who issue such unfounded statements, targeting two religions and who do not respect the Constitution, should not hold positions of power. The Chief Minister and the government must decide if such a Minister deserves to retain a constitutional role," Wadettiwar remarked.

Previously, Rane attracted attention by questioning the authenticity of the attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, suggesting it might have been staged.

"Look, Bangladeshis have infiltrated Saif Ali Khan's residence in Mumbai. They used to loiter at street corners, but now they have started entering homes, perhaps with the intention of taking him away. It's good that garbage should be disposed of. When he left the hospital, I saw him and questioned whether he was genuinely stabbed. His recovery appeared suspicious," he alleged.

"Whenever a Khan, such as Shah Rukh Khan or Saif Ali Khan, faces harm, people rush to comment, but when a Hindu actor suffers, silence prevails," he claimed.

"What has happened to Sushant Singh?" he questioned.

He added, "Jitendra Awhad and Supriya Sule (NCP-SP) did not express any concern for Sushant; they only seem to care for Saif Ali Khan, Shah Rukh Khan's son, and Nawab Malik. Have you ever noticed them show worry for any Hindu artist? You (media) should consider these matters seriously."
