Jaipur, Nov 10 (NationPress) In a major victory against organized crime, the Kotputli-Behror police have apprehended Hrithik, also known as Ritu, a prominent figure in the Rohit Godara gang, who was wanted with a reward of Rs 25,000.
An official stated that this arrest is part of a comprehensive state-wide initiative directed by the Director General of Police, Rajiv Sharma, aimed at capturing wanted criminals.
According to SP Devendra Kumar Vishnoi, the detained suspect, Hrithik alias Ritu (aged 20 years, 9 months), hails from Molaheda village, which falls under the jurisdiction of Kotputli Police Station, and is implicated in several serious criminal offenses.
SP Vishnoi mentioned that during the operation, law enforcement recovered three country-made pistols, two live cartridges, and a mobile device from Hrithik's possession.
He elaborated that acting on intelligence provided by informants Constable Lakhan Singh and Constable Jagat Singh, police learned that Hrithik was allegedly plotting a significant crime in the vicinity.
“Following the valuable tip-off, a specialized team was formed under the oversight of Additional SP Vaibhav Sharma and CO Rajendra Kumar Burdak, led by Inspector Rajesh Kumar Sharma of Kotputli Police Station. The team successfully ensnared Hrithik in the Housing Board area of Ramsinghpura last Sunday,” he stated.
SP Vishnoi emphasized that a case has been lodged against Hrithik under the BNS Arms Act at the Kotputli Police Station.
He noted that initial investigations suggest Hrithik has close ties with another criminal, Narendra alias Naru, confirming his active participation in the interstate Rohit Godara gang.
SP Vishnoi indicated that authorities are now conducting an in-depth investigation into Hrithik's network and potential connections within the illegal arms trade while also seeking to locate additional absconding gang members.
Constables Lakhan Singh (from Paniyala Police Station) and Jagat Singh (from Sarund Police Station) were instrumental in executing this successful operation.
