Kolkata, Dec 23 (NationPress) The Union Minister of State for Port, Shipping and Waterways, Shantanu Thakur, on Monday, presented appointment letters to 25 candidates at the Rozgar Mela held in Salt Lake, Kolkata.

The event was hosted by the South Bengal Division of the Border Security Force (BSF).

In a conversation with IANS, Minister Thakur mentioned that this event in Kolkata was part of a larger initiative occurring simultaneously in 27 locations across the nation.

"A total of 71,000 students participated in these events nationwide and were presented with their appointment letters. Here, I handed over the same to 25 candidates," he elaborated.

During the event, he praised the Rozgar Mela as a commendable initiative by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

"The nation is thrilled that so many individuals are securing jobs through this initiative. I commend the Prime Minister for his dedication to empowering the youth of our country with such initiatives. Personally, I am truly delighted to be part of this event," stated Union Minister Thakur.

Sujata, a new recruit in the BSF, expressed her joy, saying it was a momentous day as her dreams have finally come true.

"Receiving the appointment letter from the Union Minister was an incredible moment. I am overwhelmed with happiness," she shared.

Sukumar Roy, who secured a position with the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), remarked on the excellent organization of the event.

"I feel elated; today has truly been a remarkable day for me," he said.

Pratap Chandra Roy, also appointed to the CRPF, found the event's organizers' words to be very inspiring.

"This day has been extraordinary as my dream has been realized, and I am grateful to the organizers for their efforts," he expressed.

Fawaz T. K., who received an appointment as an associate professor at the Indian Maritime University, Kolkata, described the event as exceptionally significant.

"I was thrilled by the rapid appointment process. The college where I received the offer is one of the premier engineering institutions in the nation," he stated.

All appointment letter recipients expressed their gratitude to the Prime Minister for this opportunity.
