How Did PM Modi's 16th Rozgar Mela Bring Joy with 51,000 Appointment Letters?

New Delhi, July 12 (NationPress) A wave of excitement resonated throughout the nation on Saturday as Prime Minister Narendra Modi presented over 51,000 appointment letters to newly-inducted personnel across various Central government departments and organizations.

The Rozgar Mela, marking its 16th edition, took place simultaneously across 47 locations nationwide, with the Prime Minister connecting with the recruits through video conferencing.

In Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, a notable ceremony unfolded at the CCL Convention Centre, where 172 youth received their appointment letters as part of the Rozgar Mela. This group included 127 recruits for the Indian Railways and others for the Ministries of Home Affairs, Culture, and the Postal Department.

The event in Ranchi was graced by Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth, who served as the chief guest, alongside Rajya Sabha MP Aditya Sahu, MLAs CP Singh and Suresh Baitha, Divisional Railway Manager Jasmit Singh Bindra, and senior Railway officials.

The atmosphere was charged with joy and pride as the appointees celebrated a pivotal moment in their professional journeys. Many expressed their gratitude to the PM Modi government for these opportunities.

In Bengaluru, Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje inaugurated the Rozgar Mela and distributed appointment letters to successful candidates.

In Guwahati, Prime Minister Modi addressed the Rozgar Mela virtually, attended by Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Guwahati MP Bijuli Kalita Medhi. Here, 233 youths received their appointment letters, with beneficiaries expressing heartfelt thanks to PM Modi and the government for stable career prospects.

During his address, PM Modi underscored the significance of the Rozgar Mela initiative: “Our initiative to provide appointment letters to youth in the Central Government is ongoing. Today, over 51,000 youth have received their letters. Through such employment efforts, countless youth have secured permanent positions in the Indian government and are now making valuable contributions to nation-building.”

He highlighted the diverse range of departments where these recruits will serve, including the Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Posts, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Department of Financial Services, and Ministry of Labour and Employment, among others.

PM Modi further emphasized the importance of each department in driving national progress: “Many of you are embarking on your careers in Indian Railways, while others will contribute to India’s security. Those appointed in the postal department will carry government initiatives to every village. Many will contribute to the 'Health for All' mission, some will enhance financial inclusion, and others will bolster the country’s industrial development. Regardless of your department, the goal is unified—service to the nation and 'Citizen First'.”

Congratulating the new appointees, he urged them to dedicate themselves to serving the nation, viewing their roles as crucial to India’s advancement.

PM Modi also reflected on India’s unparalleled strength in terms of human resources and governance: “India possesses the largest youth population and the largest democracy. This is our nation’s most valued asset and our greatest assurance for future growth. Our government is tirelessly working to transform this asset into national development.”

Highlighting India’s escalating global stature, the Prime Minister remarked: “Just two days ago, I returned from a five-nation tour where the prowess of India’s youth was recognized across the board. The agreements established during this tour will undoubtedly benefit Indian youth.”

Initiated on October 22, 2022, the Rozgar Mela is part of PM Modi’s mission to emphasize employment generation and ensure expedited recruitment across government agencies. This initiative aims to efficiently fill vacant positions to prevent delays in public service delivery.

Official statistics reveal that over 10 lakh appointment letters have been issued nationwide via Rozgar Melas since its launch. This extensive employment initiative has significantly strengthened government infrastructure and services—spanning schools, hospitals, railway stations, police departments, and financial offices.
