New Delhi, June 4 (NationPress) Madhya Pradesh Minister Vishvas Sarang launched a fierce critique against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi regarding his claims that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had "surrendered" to US President Donald Trump during 'Operation Sindoor'. Sarang accused the Leader of the Opposition (LoP) in the Lok Sabha of sounding like a spokesperson for both Pakistan and China.
In an interview with IANS, Sarang stated, "Every time Rahul Gandhi speaks, he resembles a spokesperson for Pakistan and China. His recent visit to Bhopal was not aimed at advocating the Congress Party's agenda but rather promoting Pakistan's narrative."
During a rally in Bhopal on Tuesday, LoP Gandhi made the contentious assertion that PM Modi had "immediately surrendered" following a phone call from Trump concerning the India-Pakistan ceasefire agreement declared on May 10.
"Trump signaled from the US, picked up the phone, and said, ‘Narendra, surrender,’ and Narendra Modi ji complied with Trump’s instructions," the LoP remarked in his address.
Accusing Gandhi of dishonoring the armed forces and undermining India’s democratically elected leadership, Sarang emphasized, "Rahul Gandhi seeks to insult our soldiers and the Indian military. Prime Minister Modi is a democratically elected leader of this nation."
"Such unfounded and disparaging remarks against him constitute sedition," he asserted.
“In 'Operation Sindoor', our armed forces performed admirably, demonstrating extraordinary courage and valor. The global community is recognizing our military's bravery. At such a pivotal time, Rahul Gandhi's comments only serve to demoralize our forces,” Sarang added.
“He should apologize and reconsider before making statements that could harm our soldiers' morale,” the BJP leader insisted.
