Adani Cement Plant in MP's Guna: Scindia, CM Yadav to Lay Stone on May 10
Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will lay the foundation stone of an Adani Group cement plant in Guna district on 10 May, marking the arrival of the first major industrial project in the Gwalior-Chambal region. The plant carries an investment of approximately ₹1,100 crore and forms part of a broader ₹3,500 crore investment plan for the Guna region.
Project Details and Scale
The cement facility is being established by the Adani Group and will be the first major cement unit in the Gwalior-Chambal belt — an area that has historically seen limited large-scale industrial activity. Once operational, the plant is expected to supply cement for infrastructure projects across Madhya Pradesh and neighbouring states, while also contributing to local revenue and skill development.
What the Leaders Said
Scindia, who represents the Guna Lok Sabha constituency, said the project directly addresses the long-standing concern of youth migration from the region.
