Second Longest Flyover in Hyderabad Inaugurated, Honoring Former PM Manmohan Singh

Hyderabad, Jan 7 (NationPress) The Aramghar-Nehru Zoological Park flyover, which stands as the second longest flyover in Hyderabad, was inaugurated on Monday by Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. This flyover has been named in honor of the recently deceased former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
Spanning a length of four kilometers and designed as a six-lane structure, the flyover has been constructed at a staggering cost of approximately Rs 800 crore.
This bi-directional flyover provides a vital link between Aramghar and the Nehru Zoological Park, and it is anticipated to significantly reduce congestion along the busy corridor, which is part of the Hyderabad-Bangalore national highway.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy noted that the longest flyover, known as the P. V. Narasimha Rao Expressway, which stretches 11.5 km, was constructed by former Chief Minister Y. S. Rajashekhara Reddy during the previous Congress administration.
He emphasized that the rapid construction of this second longest flyover demonstrates the Congress government's commitment to urban development and the re-envisioning of the capital as part of the Mission 'Hyderabad Rising'.
Since assuming power, the Congress government has been tirelessly working to address various challenges faced by the metropolis.
Referring to the establishment of Osman Sagar and Himayat Sagar during the Nizam's reign to tackle the drinking water crisis in Hyderabad, CM Revanth Reddy stated that under Vision 2050, his administration is initiating measures to ensure sustainable drinking water supply for the city in the coming decades.
The Metro rail expansion and the Musi rejuvenation project are not only geared towards the growth of Hyderabad city but also aim to promote long-term environmental sustainability and tackle climate challenges.
"We are prepared to collaborate with everyone for the advancement of Hyderabad. We will work alongside AIMIM for the city's development. We only engage in political activities during elections and strive for collaboration for the betterment of Hyderabad. Development should be a movement led by the people," stated Revanth Reddy, accompanied by AIMIM President and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi.
The Chief Minister expressed confidence that Telangana would progress further upon the completion of the Regional Ring Road project.
"This is not merely an old city, but the true essence of Hyderabad. The government will initiate the construction of a cable bridge over Mir Alam Tank to transform it into a major tourist destination," he added.
Revanth Reddy affirmed his readiness to allocate funds for development and clarified that the responsibility for project completion lies with public representatives.
The foundation stone for the new Osmania Hospital building at Goshamahal will be laid shortly, he concluded.
