Having been confirmed by the Senate on October 7, Gor participated in an event at the Indian Embassy in Washington, DC on Thursday, where he announced his upcoming travel to India for discussions with Indian officials.
At just 38 years old, Gor is recognized as the youngest US ambassador to India. India represents one of the most significant relationships our nation has globally. I am committed to fulfilling a presidential agenda aimed at enhancing our defense collaboration, ensuring fair trade, boosting energy security, and advancing technology,” he emphasized.
He also highlighted the importance of strengthening defense ties with India.
“My focus will be on deepening defense and security cooperation with India. This entails expanding joint military exercises, advancing co-development and co-production of defense systems, and finalizing crucial defense sales,” he noted.
Recently, he met with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar in New York during the UN General Assembly.
