Addressing the gathering, Shah said: 'Development is meaningful only when it is planned with future requirements in mind while ensuring convenience for every citizen, including the most ordinary sections of society.'
Housing and Civic Infrastructure
Several residential projects were inaugurated, including Sundaram Colony D-1 Type quarters at LD College of Engineering (₹18.54 crore), C-category residential quarters opposite the Police Stadium (₹14.85 crore), an E-type residential tower at Bungalow No. 33, Shahibaug (₹14.65 crore), and a B-category multi-storey tower at the Photolitho Press Colony (₹12.64 crore).
Community infrastructure inaugurated includes a community hall in the Vande Mataram area, Chandlodia ward (₹13.40 crore), a storm water pumping station at Dayavan Lake, Nikol ward (₹13.32 crore) to improve drainage in the Madhuvalati area, a food court and labour welfare centre near Agamanagar Circle, New Wadaj (₹94 lakh), and a new Anganwadi near Ajanta Apartment, Thaltej (₹17 lakh).
Water Supply and Road Works
Under the Jal Jeevan Mission, water infrastructure projects worth ₹51.83 crore were inaugurated, including a trunk main pipeline supplying treated Narmada water to eight Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA) villages — Shaila, Manipur, Godhavi, Telav, Jivanpura, Sanathal, Visalpur, and Navapura — along with an underground sump of 18.4 million litres capacity and a pump house at Telav.
AUDA also inaugurated road improvement works including an underpass on the Sardar Patel Ring Road and upgrades at Ognaj Junction, together valued at ₹64.92 crore.
Digital Governance and New Projects
The AMC's E-Governance Department launched a suite of digitised civic services covering marriage registration, water and drainage connection applications, swimming pool and gymnasium memberships, contractor registration, food licence services, and other municipal facilities.
Foundation stones were laid for seven projects totalling ₹99.64 crore. These include redevelopment of 279 residential units and five shops at Chamunda Health Staff Quarters, India Colony (₹46.52 crore); three BRTS depots with electric bus charging infrastructure at Chandkheda (₹20.60 crore), near Bharat Circle (₹5.46 crore), and near Hanspura Ring Road (₹16.01 crore); a public library in Chandkheda ward (₹2.43 crore); a Sponge Park in Vatva ward (₹2.33 crore); and conservation of Jaspur Lake by AUDA (₹6.30 crore).
Environmental and Heritage Additions
Shah also inaugurated 101 Oxygen Parks across Ahmedabad and dedicated a new Heritage Park on the Sabarmati riverfront, adding to the city's environmental and cultural infrastructure. Officials said the projects collectively aim to strengthen urban mobility, water access, digital services, and green spaces as Ahmedabad continues its long-term development programme.
