Mumbai, July 14 (NationPress) In a firm and unequivocal statement, Shiv Sena leader and Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Eknath Shinde, urged party ministers, legislators, and officials to adhere strictly to party discipline and avoid forcing him into taking disciplinary action. “Recent events have raised concerns. Instead of directing criticism at you, people are looking at me because of your actions. They question me: ‘What are your MLAs doing? You are all part of my family. Your negative reputation reflects on me as well. Focus your efforts on what truly matters. Communicate less and act more.
“Several ministers have faced consequences due to public outcry. I prefer not to take action against my own family members. However, do not push me to that point. I require discipline and responsibility from every one of you,” he stated.
He continued, “I do not act as a tyrant. I maintain my composure. I function as a karyakarta (party worker) — and so should you. Avoid letting success cloud your judgment. Regardless of your positions, always remember: you are fundamentally a worker.
“We have accomplished a great deal in a short time frame. The public is on our side, which has led some to attempt to tarnish our image. Stay vigilant. The upcoming days will challenge us. Public life necessitates discipline — and we must maintain it.”
His stern warning follows allegations of corruption against social justice minister Sanjay Shirsat and soil and water conservation minister Sanjay Rathod.
Furthermore, Shiv Sena faced backlash after party legislator Sanjay Gaikwad assaulted canteen staff for providing stale food.
Sanjay Shirsat has come under fire from the opposition after a video circulated showing a bag full of cash in his bedroom.
Meanwhile, Rathod has faced scrutiny due to a significant money transfer issue within his department.
Horticulture minister Bharat Gogawale was also criticized after a viral video allegedly depicted him engaging in rituals with a ‘mantrik’ (witch doctor).
