This case, designated as FIR No. 03/2025, is filed under Sections 11, 13, 18, 38, and 39 of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act.

The posters featuring anti-national sentiments emerged in October within the Nowgam area.
The J&K Police and security forces have been actively conducting operations against terrorist elements, their overground workers (OGWs), and individuals providing support.
This revised approach aims to dismantle the entire framework supporting terrorism rather than solely concentrating on armed militants.
Additionally, drug traffickers, dealers, and those linked to hawala operations are under scrutiny by security personnel.
It is believed that the proceeds from these illicit activities contribute to the funding of terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.
Responsibilities for anti-infiltration, anti-exfiltration, and halting cross-border smuggling are carried out by the Army along the Line of Control (LoC), while the Border Security Force (BSF) manages duties along the international border within the union territory.
The Army oversees the 740 km long LoC, while the BSF is responsible for the 240 km international border in the UT.
The LoC spans the districts of Baramulla, Bandipora, and Kupwara in the Valley, as well as Poonch, Rajouri, and parts of the Jammu district. The international border is located in the districts of Jammu, Samba, and Kathua in the Jammu division.
