In the letter, the Chief Minister extended a heartfelt invitation to Rajnath Singh, urging him to participate in the event and honor the occasion with his presence.
Siddaramaiah remarked, "This remarkable initiative will not only elevate the grandeur of our historic celebrations but also evoke a profound sense of pride and patriotism among the thousands of visitors coming from various parts of the country."
He added, "It would truly be a privilege if you could attend personally. Your esteemed presence would serve as a significant encouragement to the people of Karnataka and fortify the respect and admiration we have for our armed forces."
"Once again, I express my gratitude for your thoughtful gesture and eagerly anticipate welcoming you in Mysuru during the significant Dasara festivities," stated CM Siddaramaiah.
This year, the Dussehra celebrations are set to take place from October 15-24.
Earlier, on August 3, Siddaramaiah met with Union Minister Singh in New Delhi, where he submitted a request for the airshow during the renowned state festival, Dussehra.
In his memorandum, he pointed out, "During the high-powered committee meeting for the Mysuru Dussehra celebrations, the community's wish for an airshow was presented to the committee.
In previous years, specifically 2017 and 2019, an extraordinary airshow by the Indian Air Force at the TorchLight Parade Ground captivated thousands of tourists and locals during the Dussehra festivities.
"Therefore, I kindly request that you instruct the relevant authorities to organize a similar 'Air Show' as in the past, for the Nada Habba Dasara 2023 in Mysuru. Your prompt action will undoubtedly enhance the vibrancy of the 'Dasara Habba.' I look forward to your affirmative response," the memorandum stated.
Siddaramaiah personally delivered the letter to Rajnath Singh.
