New Delhi, March 24 (NationPress) Union Minister Giriraj Singh responded sharply on Tuesday to the recent comments made by Lok Sabha's Leader of the Opposition, Rahul Gandhi, who claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is "completely under the influence" of US President Donald Trump.

Referring to Rahul Gandhi as an ‘abodh baalak’, Giriraj Singh condemned his remarks as reckless, asserting they demonstrate a significant misunderstanding of both national and international affairs.

At a gathering in Vadodara, Rahul Gandhi questioned the Prime Minister’s address in the Lok Sabha, pointing out what he described as a “notable absence” — the lack of any mention of the United States. He suggested that this omission was more than mere oversight and hinted at deeper issues.

Gandhi noted that despite delivering a speech lasting 25 minutes, the Prime Minister did not refer to the US nor offer any critique, implying that PM Modi may be “compromised.” He claimed the Prime Minister was entirely under Trump’s sway.

In a press conference on Tuesday, Giriraj Singh remarked, “Rahul Gandhi behaves like an ‘abodh baalak’. I’ve previously stated that even during the Covid-19 crisis, his actions contributed to unrest and confusion. Currently, both our leadership and the Indian populace have immense faith in Narendra Modi. We successfully managed the Covid-19 situation without raising fuel prices thus far.”

“Yet, I observe that the Himachal Pradesh government has increased fuel prices. Why isn’t Rahul Gandhi addressing that? He raises issues elsewhere; why not question the hikes there? While the Prime Minister has held back on fuel price increases, countries such as the USA, Japan, and Germany have not — showcasing effective governance. Therefore, I assert that India is not grappling with any significant issues as the populace trusts PM Modi greatly. Our nation’s leadership can transform any crisis into an opportunity and confront challenges head-on. The only challenge we face is the LOP,” he stated.

Giriraj Singh's response to Rahul Gandhi reflects the ongoing tensions in Indian politics. The debate highlights contrasting views on leadership and foreign influence, encapsulating the current political climate where allegations can sway public opinion.
