New Delhi, Nov 26 (NationPress) The Election Commission of India (ECI) announced major advancements in Phase II of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2025 of electoral rolls, reporting a remarkable 99.93% distribution rate of Enumeration Forms (EFs) across 12 states and Union Territories.
The Daily Bulletin indicates that the nationwide distribution of EFs has reached 99.93%, showcasing robust efforts by Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and involvement from Booth Level Agents (BLAs).
During this enumeration phase, which is ongoing from November 4 to December 4, a total of 50.63 crore EFs have been distributed out of the eligible 50.97 crore electors.
Progress in the digitisation of EFs is also notable, with 34.86 crore forms digitised, resulting in an overall digitisation rate of 68.40%.
Goa and Lakshadweep have achieved a flawless 100% distribution of EFs, followed by Andaman and Nicobar with 99.99%, Madhya Pradesh at 99.87%, West Bengal with 99.80%, and Gujarat at 99.77%.
Uttar Pradesh, being the largest state by electorate size, has achieved a distribution of 99.69% of EFs, covering over 15.39 crore electors.
The states with the lowest performance include Puducherry at 96.63%, Kerala with 97.92%, and Tamil Nadu at 97.43%.
In West Bengal, 7.64 crore electors or 99.80% EFs have been distributed, with 82.91% of EFs digitised, as stated by the ECI.
In terms of digitisation rates, Lakshadweep stands out with 99.99%, followed by Goa at 89.77% and Rajasthan at 86.03%. Conversely, Uttar Pradesh has the slowest digitisation rate at 47.59%, trailed by Kerala at 55.39%.
The Election Commission has urged recognised political parties to appoint additional Booth Level Agents to expedite verification and digitisation.
The ECI clarified that the figures from Rajasthan exclude the Anta Assembly constituency, where the revision was postponed due to a by-election.
Scheduled bulletins will continue to be released by the ECI as the revision process approaches its December 4 deadline.
