Patna March 8 (NationPress) Spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar has announced his plans to set up a university in Bihar, appealing to the state government for land to facilitate this initiative.

“If the Bihar government allocates land, we will launch a university,” he remarked while speaking to his followers at Patna’s Gandhi Maidan on Saturday.

He stressed that religion goes beyond mere external rituals such as wearing a dhoti or shaving one’s head. Rather, it embodies knowledge and wisdom.

Should the Bihar government approve the land request, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s envisioned university has the potential to emerge as a prominent hub for education, culture, and spiritual enlightenment in the state.

Furthermore, he voiced his deep concerns regarding the oppression of Hindus in Bangladesh, urging the Indian government to take appropriate actions in response to this issue.

He disparaged those who attack Sanatan Dharma as foolish, likening their actions to throwing stones at the sun. He underscored the historical strength of Sanatan Dharma, referencing the unsuccessful attempts to demolish the Somnath temple.

He called on Hindus to take pride in their culture and not shy away from embracing their religious identity.

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar has also addressed the alarming rise in heart attack incidents among India’s youth.

While speaking in Patna, he raised questions about the COVID-19 vaccine's influence on this trend and suggested that people consider ozone therapy as a preventive strategy.

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, he remarked: “Women should become self-sufficient and step forward with confidence. We have initiated numerous schemes, and they should take the lead in all areas,” encouraging greater involvement of women in every facet of life.

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar is currently on a five-day tour of Patna, where he is delivering spiritual discourses (Pravachan) at Gandhi Maidan, attracting a significant number of followers.

Additionally, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and Dhirendra Krishna Shastri are both on a five-day tour of Bihar, with Dhirendra conducting Pravachan in Gopalganj district.
