Out of this total, 3,132 pilgrims are from J&K and 242 from Ladakh. From May 4 to May 15, eleven flights were planned to depart from Srinagar International Airport, but operations were disrupted on May 6 due to heightened military tensions between India and Pakistan.
Pilgrims are required to first report to the Hajj House located in the Bemina area of Srinagar, where they are then transported in designated buses to the airport.
It is important to note that no friends or family members are permitted to accompany the pilgrims during their journey from the Hajj House to the airport.

Following a de-escalation in tensions between the two nations, a degree of stability has returned to the border regions of J&K, where over 200 homes have suffered damage due to artillery fire from Pakistan targeting civilian areas.
The most significant destruction occurred in the Poonch, Rajouri, and Baramulla districts of J&K.
Security personnel have advised residents in border areas to remain patient until unexploded ordnance can be safely neutralized and the regions are declared secure for civilian activities.
