Chennai, Sep 7 (NationPress) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin recognized the Tamil diaspora as a significant link between the state and the global community, referring to Non-Resident Tamils as “unofficial ambassadors of Tamil Nadu”. He encouraged them to play an active role in the state's development during his address at the “NRTIA UK Summit 2025” in London, which saw extensive participation from Tamils residing in the UK.
“Tamils living abroad have risen from humble beginnings to hold important roles in various countries. You are proving that Tamils are hardworking and capable individuals. Tamil Nadu lives on within each of you. You pass down our language and culture to your children and reinforce the belief that no adversity can harm Tamil,” Stalin stated.
He urged the diaspora to maintain their connection with their homeland by visiting at least once a year, investing in local projects, and creating opportunities for the youth in Tamil Nadu.
