New Delhi, March 16 (NationPress) The government announced on Monday that the provision of piped natural gas (PNG) and compressed natural gas (CNG) remains consistent throughout the nation. Efforts are underway to transition households from LPG to gas pipelines wherever feasible.
During an inter-ministerial briefing, Sujata Sharma, the Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, emphasized that fuel stations supplying CNG and residential PNG connections are functioning without interruptions.
"We are fully maintaining the supply for both CNG and PNG consumers. Additionally, we have initiated enforcement measures to curtail hoarding. Several states have already conducted raids as part of our efforts to monitor fuel storage and distribution," she stated.
Sharma further reassured that crude supplies are abundant, with all refineries operating at peak capacity. "Our petrol stations are functioning normally, and we have yet to receive reports of any dry outs," she added.
