Swami Ramabhadracharya: Mohan Bhagwat Represents Sangh, Not Hinduism

New Delhi, Dec 24 (NationPress) During a recent address, prominent spiritual leader Swami Ramabhadracharya responded to comments made by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat about the temple-mosque disputes. Ramabhadracharya clarified that Bhagwat's perspectives are his own and do not signify Hinduism, stating, he leads the Sangh, not Hinduism.
Bhagwat had previously noted, Certain individuals raise issues around temples and mosques to position themselves as leaders of Hindus, especially concerning the Ram Mandir.
In reaction, Ramabhadracharya remarked, This could be his personal opinion, and we have no connection with it. He may lead the Sangh, but he does not represent Hinduism. He emphasized that their focus is on the discipline and truth of the faith. He also stated that wherever ancient Hindu temples are confirmed, efforts will be made to restore them, reiterating that this is not a novel concept but rather a part of their cultural and religious preservation.
Furthermore, he commented on the recent violence in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, expressing that the loss of lives is tragic and accentuating the necessity for Hindu unity.
Regarding the oppression of Hindu minorities in Bangladesh, he called on the Indian government to implement stricter measures, urging Prime Minister Narendra Modi to adopt a firmer stance.
With excitement about the forthcoming Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, Ramabhadracharya praised the upcoming event, saying, The Maha Kumbh Mela signifies our rich culture and promotes spiritual values.
The Maha Kumbh Mela (festival of sacred pitchers) holds a significant place in Hindu mythology. It is recognized as the world's largest public gathering and collective exhibition of faith.
The Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 is scheduled to commence on January 13 with the Paush Purnima Snan and will conclude on February 26 with Maha Shivratri. Celebrated as one of the grandest festivals in Hinduism or the Sanatan faith, the Maha Kumbh occurs once every 12 years.
These statements were delivered during the grand Ram Katha event at Thakur Village in Kandivali, Mumbai. The seven-day spiritual discourse, led by Swami Ramabhadracharya, aims to inspire positive transformations in the lives of the devotees.
