Chennai, May 7 (NationPress) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, AIADMK general secretary K. Palaniswami (EPS), and BJP senior leader K. Annamalai have expressed their unwavering support for the Indian Army’s operations targeting terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoJK) as a response to the heinous Pahalgam terror attack.
In a statement on ‘X’, Stalin reiterated his solidarity with the Indian military, declaring, “Tamil Nadu stands with the Indian Army against terrorism. Together with our Army, for our nation. Tamil Nadu stands firm. #OperationSindoor.”
The opposition leader and AIADMK chief K. Palaniswami commended the military’s decisive action. “I applaud the Indian Armed Forces for the effective execution of #OperationSindoor, aimed at terror camps in Pakistan and PoJK following the Pahalgam attack,” he posted on ‘X’.
He further added, “Under the vigilant leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Thiru. @narendramodi Avl, justice has been served. This decisive action emphasizes our nation's steadfast commitment to eliminating terrorism and protecting our citizens.”
Former BJP Tamil Nadu president K. Annamalai also voiced his support, stating, “Terrorists were met with the response they understand best! Jai Hind! #OperationSindoor.”
BJP Tamil Nadu spokesperson ANS Prasad released a comprehensive statement on ‘X’, praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. “India’s @PMOIndia @narendramodi, who has been tirelessly working for global peace and well-being, has made a swift, just, and courageous decision,” Prasad wrote.
He elaborated, “The landmark strike by the #IndianArmy against terrorist camps in #Pakistan will conclude the chapter on #Terrorism. This marks the first victorious strike for #MotherIndia. Let the victorious march of the Indian Army continue. Under the guidance of #PrimeMinister #NarendraModi, let’s unite against terrorism with #patriotism.”
Prasad noted that the operations targeted nine terrorist bases, including Bahawalpur, a known stronghold of Jaish-e-Mohammed; Muridke, the headquarters of Lashkar-e-Taiba; and Muzaffarabad, a crucial operational hub.
Other targeted locations included Gulpur, Bhimber, Chak Amru, Bagh, Kotli, and Sialkot. “These strategic strikes are a direct response to the Pahalgam attack that resulted in the loss of 26 innocent lives,” Prasad stated.
