Patna, Jan 14 (NationPress) Tej Pratap Yadav, the National President of Janshakti Janata Dal (JJD) and the eldest son of Lalu Prasad Yadav, organized a Dahi-Chura feast at his official residence on Wednesday to celebrate Makar Sankranti. The noticeable absence of Tejashwi Yadav, his younger brother, became a central political topic during the event.
Leaders from both the ruling NDA and opposition parties were invited to the affair.
While Lalu Prasad Yadav was present to bless his son, Tejashwi chose not to attend.
In response to inquiries about Tejashwi's absence, Tej Pratap suggested that his brother might be surrounded by "Jaichands", hinting that certain individuals could potentially be misleading him.
“We will wait for my younger brother Tejashwi until 9 p.m. Let’s see if he shows up or not,” he remarked.
Tej Pratap downplayed the political implications, stating: “So what if Tejashwi did not come? My father came. What could be more significant than that? We have our parents' blessings.”
He further asserted that the Janshakti Janata Dal is the “true party”, emphasizing that this is why his father attended the event to provide his blessings.
When questioned about rumors regarding his potential appointment as a minister after the end of Kharmas, Tej Pratap responded carefully: “Whether I become a minister or even the Chief Minister is up to them. I can't decide that. My father, Lalu Prasad Yadav, once mentioned in Parliament that everyone has aspirations. He himself aspired to become Prime Minister.”
Tej Pratap stated that he would inform the media himself when any such developments occur.
In a notable political comment, he urged Tejashwi Yadav to merge the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) with the Janshakti Janata Dal, asserting that JJD represents the original party of Lalu Prasad Yadav.
It is worth mentioning that Tej Pratap personally visited the residences and offices of leaders from both the NDA and the Grand Alliance to invite them to the feast.
He also made a point to visit Rabri Devi’s residence to invite his parents and brother Tejashwi Yadav.
