Patna, March 16 (NationPress) RJD leader Tej Pratap Yadav, son of former Chief Ministers Lalu Prasad and Rabri Devi, faced a fine on Sunday for breaching traffic regulations during the Holi festivities.

Tej Pratap was seen riding a scooty in Patna without a helmet. Further inspection revealed that both the vehicle's insurance and pollution certificates were expired.

He traveled on the scooty from Rabri Devi's residence, passing by CM Nitish Kumar's residence to reach his destination.

The Traffic Police issued a challan amounting to Rs 4,000, which included Rs 1,000 for not wearing a helmet and fines of Rs 1,000 and Rs 2,000 for the expired pollution and insurance certificates.

Officials emphasized that traffic regulations are applicable to all individuals, regardless of their political influence.

Moreover, the Patna Police took decisive action against constable Deepak Kumar, who was caught dancing in uniform during a Holi event at the behest of Hasanpur MLA Tej Pratap Yadav.

Constable Deepak Kumar, assigned as Tej Pratap's security detail, was observed dancing in his uniform. He has since been reassigned to the police lines and brought in for questioning. Another constable has taken over his duties.

This incident has intensified the political feud, with the ruling JD(U) and BJP condemning the RJD leader, claiming he disrespected law enforcement personnel.

In a viral video, Tej Pratap, seated on a stage during the Holi celebrations, directed a uniformed officer to dance, stating: "Hey constable, hey Deepak, we will play a song, you have to dance. If you don't, you will be suspended. Don't mind, it's Holi."

Tej Pratap Yadav observed Holi in Patna on Saturday, where he participated in the 'Kurta faad' Holi, a tradition where a person's upper garment is torn after being smeared with colors.
