Did Tej Pratap Yadav's Family Sacrifice Integrity for Politics?

Patna, May 25 (NationPress) Following the recent expulsion of Tej Pratap Yadav from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and his family, BJP MP Sanjay Jaiswal has launched a fierce attack on Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi. He accused them of sacrificing personal integrity for the sake of political image.

Jaiswal asserted that Lalu and Rabri were fully aware of Tej Pratap's longstanding relationship with Anushka Yadav prior to arranging his marriage to Aishwarya Rai, granddaughter of Daroga Prasad Rai.

“Even though they were aware of Tej Pratap’s relationship with Anushka, the marriage went ahead solely to establish ties with a prominent political family. This decision has had devastating consequences for Tej Pratap, Aishwarya, and Anushka,” the BJP leader declared.

He further alleged that Lalu Prasad's decision to expel his son now is a calculated move to protect his legal and political standing, as the divorce proceedings between Tej Pratap and Aishwarya Rai remain ongoing.

“What Lalu and Rabri did to Aishwarya is not only unethical; it could also be considered a criminal offense. Legal authorities should take this matter seriously,” he insisted.

Tej Pratap Yadav married Aishwarya Rai in May 2018, a wedding viewed as a significant political alliance between two influential Yadav families. However, issues arose almost immediately, with Aishwarya accusing Tej Pratap of domestic violence and mental harassment. This case is still pending in court.

After a controversy involving viral photos and videos of Tej Pratap with Anushka Yadav, where one showed her performing Karva Chauth rituals for him, Lalu Prasad expelled his elder son from the RJD and family for six years.

Tej Pratap initially claimed that his Facebook account had been hacked, yet the controversial content continued to emerge, further tarnishing the family's reputation.

When approached by the media, Poonam Rai, Aishwarya's mother, responded succinctly: “We were already aware of these issues concerning Tej Pratap. What is there to hide? It’s common knowledge. We have nothing more to add.”

Despite the chaos, the Yadav family seems to stand united behind Lalu Prasad's decision.

Tejashwi Yadav, the younger son and the political face of the RJD, remarked: “Tej Pratap is an adult capable of making his own choices, but I do not condone such behavior. As public representatives, we must maintain our dignity.”

Meanwhile, Lalu’s daughter Rohini Acharya publicly supported her father's decision in an emotional social media post.

“Those who violate family conduct and values become targets of criticism. For us, Papa (Lalu Prasad) is akin to a god, family is our sanctuary, and the party is our pride,” she expressed.

She emphasized that no one would be allowed to tarnish the family's legacy of struggle and social justice.
