Patna, July 24 (NationPress) The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) state president, Mangani Lal Mandal, asserted on Thursday that Tej Pratap Yadav has become politically irrelevant following his expulsion from the party by National President Lalu Prasad Yadav for six years.
During a press conference in Jamui at an Extremely Backward Conference cum Felicitation Ceremony, Mandal was queried about Tej Pratap Yadav's declaration to run in the forthcoming Assembly elections from Mahua in Vaishali.
In his remarks, Mandal stated, “Tej Pratap Yadav has no existence. He is not part of RJD, so it is irrelevant to me where he intends to contest the elections. If someone is not affiliated with the party, how can we comment on them? Our national president, Lalu Prasad Yadav, expelled him for six years.”
When asked about the internal dynamics of RJD, Mandal highlighted that no one holds any authority in the party compared to Tejashwi Yadav.
“No one holds any significance in front of Tejashwi Yadav. Tej Pratap Yadav is the elder son of Lalu Prasad Yadav, but he has been expelled from the party for six years. What can we do for someone who is not in our ranks?” he remarked.
Tej Pratap Yadav had previously indicated that if he was not granted the party ticket from Mahua, he would aim to defeat the RJD in that constituency.
In response, Mandal questioned, “What should we do if he is still wearing the RJD's cap? How can the party issue a ticket to an individual who has been expelled for six years?”
Tej Pratap Yadav's removal from the party stemmed from a controversial post featuring a girl named Anushka Yadav that circulated on social media.
These statements emerge as political activities intensify in Bihar ahead of the Assembly elections, revealing internal conflicts within the RJD following Tej Pratap Yadav's claims of running independently if the party denies him a ticket.
