Patna, March 21 (NationPress) A new political uproar has arisen after Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's assertion that the use of mobile phones could result in the planet's demise within a decade.

The Leader of Opposition, Tejashwi Yadav, criticized Nitish Kumar’s remarks, labeling them as "outdated and anti-technology".

“From an ecological standpoint, the Bihar assembly is transitioning to a paperless format, enabling members to pose questions online.” “If a member needs to ask a supplementary question, they must refer to a mobile or tablet. Yet, Bihar has a Chief Minister who is not only computer-illiterate but also opposes technology, youth, students, and women's empowerment,” Yadav stated.

“It is both regrettable and condemnable that Bihar is led by such a conservative Chief Minister,” Yadav added.

During Question Hour, Kumar Krishna Mohan (alias Suday Yadav) was spotted using his mobile phone while inquiring about PDS dealers.

Upon witnessing this, CM Nitish Kumar objected vehemently, reminding the assembly that mobile phones are prohibited within the premises.

Addressing Speaker Nand Kishore Yadav, CM Kumar insisted on stringent measures, stating: “It is already banned in the House. I urge you (Speaker) to expel anyone found with a mobile phone from the House.”

He additionally cautioned about the adverse consequences of excessive mobile phone usage.

“In the past, we observed numerous issues. Anticipating trouble, we implemented a ban in 2019. If this behavior continues, the world will face its end in the next 10 years,” Kumar warned.

“Why are you using a mobile phone? Speak for yourself,” Kumar questioned Suday Yadav.

Tejashwi Yadav’s comments have intensified the ongoing political clash between the ruling coalition and the opposition.

The discourse surrounding technology, governance, and Nitish Kumar’s leadership is anticipated to escalate in the political landscape of Bihar, with opposition figures raising concerns about whether Nitish Kumar is disconnected from contemporary governance.
