Patna, March 19 (NationPress) Following the initiation of questioning by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) regarding the alleged land-for-job scam involving Lalu Prasad Yadav and his family, the opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav asserted that such actions from central agencies will not intimidate them.

"With elections approaching this year, the ED, CBI, and Income Tax will intensify their scrutiny, but it will not impact us. The central government aims to harass us, but they will fail. We have faced questioning numerous times, but what has resulted? Nothing!" he stated while addressing the media in Patna on Wednesday.

Tejashwi accused the cases against Lalu Prasad, Rabri Devi, and himself of being driven by a political agenda.

"If we weren’t involved in politics, would there be any cases against us? This is purely politically motivated. The BJP is frightened of us; they understand they will lose the Bihar Assembly elections, so they are misusing central agencies," he remarked.

Expressing confidence in the upcoming Bihar Assembly election 2025, Tejashwi declared, “We will establish the next government in Bihar."

As political tensions in Bihar escalate, the ED's inquiry into Lalu Prasad Yadav is set to heighten conflicts between the RJD and the BJP-led NDA in the region.

Lalu Prasad Yadav and his daughter Misa Bharti visited the Patna ED office earlier on Wednesday concerning a money laundering case tied to the alleged land-for-job scam.

On Tuesday, the ED interrogated former CM Rabri Devi and Tej Pratap Yadav for over four hours individually.

In response to recent robbery incidents in Ara and Patna, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav launched a fierce critique against Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, accusing him of failing to maintain law and order in Bihar.

“Under Nitish Kumar’s governance for 20 years, Bihar has faced 60,000 murders and 25,000 rapes and gang rapes, and this is not my data; this is sourced from the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), which is under the Union Home Ministry,” Yadav stated.

“Criminals are operating freely, creating chaos, while Nitish Kumar remains oblivious,” he added.

The robbery in Patna’s Kankarbagh area, where Rs 1 crore was stolen in broad daylight on Tuesday, has raised significant concerns regarding public safety. Tejashwi Yadav has consistently held Nitish Kumar and the NDA government accountable for their perceived failure to protect citizens.
