Patna, March 20 (NationPress) In the wake of Enforcement Directorate (ED) inquiries targeting Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Lalu Prasad, his supporters plastered the city with posters aiming at both the NDA government at the Centre and in the state on Thursday.
One notable poster was prominently positioned outside the home of former Chief Minister Rabri Devi at 10 Circular Road in Patna, while additional posters emerged throughout the city.
This initiative was spearheaded by Nishant Mandal, an RJD leader from Harlakhi in the Madhubani district. The poster showcases images of Lalu Prasad alongside his son Tejashwi Yadav, depicting Lalu surrounded by caricatures symbolizing the ED, CBI, Income Tax Department, and other federal agencies.
The poster boldly states: “Na Jhuka Hu Na Jhukunga. Tiger Abhi Zinda Hai” (I have not bowed, nor will I bow. The tiger is still alive).
In response to the ED's actions, RJD spokesperson Mrityunjay Tiwari accused the BJP of engaging in political vendetta, asserting, “The BJP is terrified as it faces potential defeat in the 2025 assembly elections. Their misuse of central agencies against our leader will not succeed.”
BJP spokesperson Prabhakar Mishra ridiculed the RJD's poster campaign, claiming, “RJD’s slogan ‘Na Jhuka Hu, Na Jhukunga’ translates to ‘They will rob Bihar more.’ Lalu Prasad, Rabri Devi, and Tej Pratap couldn't respond to the ED's inquiries. The people of Bihar have not forgotten their 'Jungle Raj'.”
JDU spokesperson Arvind Nishad remarked, “They are guilty of the scam, and justice is being served.”
This is not the RJD’s first instance of utilizing posters to accuse the BJP of abusing central agencies. After ED and CBI raids on properties linked to Lalu Prasad and his family concerning the land-for-jobs scandal, the party had showcased a poster outside its Patna office portraying the CBI as a caged parrot and the ED as an eagle, suggesting that these agencies were being weaponized by the BJP to silence opposition voices. The caption on that poster read: “Stop misusing ED and CBI.”
On Wednesday, the ED interrogated Lalu Prasad for four hours regarding a money laundering case tied to the land-for-jobs scam.
