Patna, Oct 11 (NationPress) Tejashwi Yadav, leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, asserted on Saturday that the Teachers Recruitment Examination (TRE-4) will be promptly organized following the return of the Opposition Grand Alliance to power in the state after the upcoming Assembly elections.

In a statement shared on his official X account, he mentioned, "During our 17-month governance, we (the Opposition Grand Alliance) successfully appointed over 200,000 teachers through TRE-1 and TRE-2 without any incidents of paper leaks, and initiated the recruitment for an additional 130,000 positions."

He criticized the current NDA government for significantly reducing the number of positions available under TRE-4.

"After our (Opposition Grand Alliance) administration exited, the NDA government declared 127,000 teacher positions under TRE-4, but has now unexpectedly slashed that figure by 100,000, now only offering around 27,000 roles," Tejashwi claimed.

He also took a jab at Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, stating, "Everyone is aware of his history of retracting promises. Once we form our government, the TRE-4 recruitment process will commence without delay."

Tejashwi's comments were in response to CM Nitish Kumar's previous announcement regarding the TRE-4 recruitment and the 35 percent reservation for women in government jobs declared by the NDA government in Bihar.

On October 9, the RJD leader pledged that should his party secure victory in the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, every household in the state would have at least one member employed in a government role, regardless of caste, community, or age.

"This significant commitment follows the announcement of the election dates. It is achievable and grounded in rigorous scientific analysis. After the election results on November 14 and the establishment of our (Opposition Grand Alliance) government in Bihar, we will enact a law within 20 days to ensure one government job per family, completing the entire process within 20 months," he stated.

Tejashwi further asserted that this initiative would inherently address issues like housing and livelihood.
