Patna, April 9 (NationPress) Tejashwi Yadav, the Leader of the Opposition in Bihar, vehemently criticized the Nitish Kumar administration on Thursday regarding the stalled TRE-4 teacher recruitment process. He asserted that the extended delay has severely impacted the youth of the state.

In his remarks, Tejashwi pointed to the successes of the former Grand Alliance government, noting that during his 17-month role as Deputy Chief Minister, more than 2.2 lakh appointments were successfully made under TRE-1 and TRE-2 in a transparent and timely fashion, without any incidents of paper leaks.

He mentioned that while the TRE-3 procedure was initiated, it was later halted following the government transition in January 2024.

Tejashwi Yadav claimed that despite the current administration's commitments, there has been a lack of tangible advancement in the TRE-4 recruitment process. “Almost a year has gone by since the announcement, yet the vacancies for TRE-4 have yet to be disclosed,” he stated.

He highlighted that according to the Bihar Public Service Commission calendar, the examination was initially slated for August 2024, but has experienced continuous delays.

Focusing his critique on the NDA government, Tejashwi accused it of neglecting the interests of the youth. “This administration is preoccupied with political maneuvering and has failed to grasp the aspirations of young individuals,” he contended.

He further asserted that the postponements appear to be strategically timed ahead of elections, creating prolonged uncertainty for candidates.

Tejashwi Yadav expressed alarm that these repeated delays are pushing candidates beyond age limits and leading to feelings of frustration among job seekers. “Every young person aspires to gain employment and support their families. However, the government is jeopardizing their futures,” he remarked.

He reiterated that during his time in office, around 5 lakh jobs were created, and recruitment efforts for an additional 3.5 lakh positions were initiated.

Tejashwi urged the government to promptly announce TRE-4 vacancies. “This issue transcends mere recruitment; it pertains to the futures of millions of youth and their families. Immediate action from the government is imperative,” he concluded.
