Patna, Sep 17 (NationPress) On the second day of his Bihar Adhikar Yatra, the Leader of Opposition in the Assembly, Tejashwi Yadav, launched a fierce critique of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, labeling him as 'Cheat Minister' instead of Chief Minister. He assured the citizens that "we will provide you with a Bihar that offers employment, respect, and security."
While addressing a massive rally in Bakhtiyarpur, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav claimed that Nitish Kumar was merely imitating the welfare schemes he introduced during public engagements.
“Every proposal I put forth for the benefit of the people is quickly adopted by him. I proposed the 'Mai Bahen Maan Yojana', promising Rs 2,500 monthly for all women after the Grand Alliance government is formed in Bihar. In response, Nitish Kumar announced a one-time loan of Rs 10,000 for women, merely to win their votes. This is why I refer to him as a 'Cheat Minister',” he stated.
Tejashwi Yadav further accused Chief Minister Nitish Kumar of lacking any real vision and simply replicating the promises made by the RJD.
Regarding social security pensions, he remarked, “We pledged Rs 1,500 a month for widows, seniors, and disabled individuals. Nitish Kumar has only raised it from Rs 400 to Rs 1,100. Why didn't he act on this in the past 20 years?”
On the topic of electricity, he noted: “We promised 200 units of free electricity for every household, while he has only provided 125 units.”
Addressing examination fees, Tejashwi Yadav stated: “We proposed zero fees for all competitive exams under the Bihar government, yet he set it at Rs 100.”
Labeling the NDA government's approach as visionless, he suggested that Nitish Kumar is terrified of losing the upcoming Assembly elections, which is why he is copying the Grand Alliance's schemes.
Tejashwi Yadav called upon the public to support him, pledging numerous welfare initiatives that would be implemented if the Grand Alliance secures power. He emphasized that his government would aim to eliminate migration by creating local job opportunities.
“We will revive closed sugar mills, set up food processing units, and foster industries to generate employment while ensuring a crime-free and corruption-free government,” he asserted.
“Support me in forming the Grand Alliance government. We will deliver a Bihar that provides employment, respect, and security,” Tejashwi Yadav told the enthusiastic crowd.
The Bihar Adhikar Yatra, which commenced on September 16 from Jehanabad, will traverse several districts over five days, with Tejashwi Yadav addressing rallies and conducting roadshows throughout the state.
