Patna, Aug 11 (NationPress) The Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the Bihar Assembly, Tejashwi Yadav, has intensified his criticism of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, accusing him of replicating his development schemes and proposals.
LoP Yadav claims that CM Nitish Kumar is unveiling plans he had previously introduced, but lacks the necessary vision for their effective execution.
In a video shared early on Monday, Tejashwi stated, “A thief may steal the idea, but from where will he bring the vision? With elections approaching, you are witnessing these announcements. Since 2005, these exhausted individuals have been appropriating our ideas. This time, the scam-ridden copycat government will be replaced by a youthful administration.”
The video includes testimonials from ordinary citizens, who assert that such electoral promises appear only during election seasons.
They acknowledge that Tejashwi Yadav was the first to advocate for a domicile policy, propose free electricity, and introduce social security pensions for widows, the elderly, and disabled individuals—all ideas that they believe CM Nitish Kumar has imitated.
One individual featured in the clip remarked, “For 20 years, Bihar has relied on thieves. Under this government, a Rs 71,000 crore scam has been reported according to the CAG.”
Others concur that a change in leadership is essential.
Recently, CM Nitish Kumar has announced various welfare initiatives, including social security pensions, free electricity for 125 units, journalist pensions, increased honorariums for physical education teachers, night watchmen, cooks in government schools, Asha and Mamata workers, and the implementation of domicile policy in teacher recruitment exams, along with 35% reservation for women in all state government jobs.
LoP Tejashwi has criticized the CM's government for these announcements, asserting they are merely repackaged versions of his original proposals. Tejashwi Yadav maintains that he introduced these plans well before this government, led by Nitish Kumar, began appropriating them.
As the Bihar Assembly election draws near, it is anticipated that credit politics will escalate.
